When I think about the story of Villa Clementina, the first person who comes to mind is my grandfather, Professor Ferdinando Rossi de Rubeis.

He was a strict and highly educated man, deeply shaped by his profession and his background. To me, however, he was first and foremost my grandfather. Every summer, I would spend time with him in his large study. There, I would share my secrets with him, talk to him about my thoughts and ask for his advice. Even today, I remember those hours together very clearly. They left me with a deep connection to this place and to my family.

My father, Alessandro Rossi de Rubeis, later gave this family property a new direction. He was a visionary and enterprising man, and he wanted to transform what our family had preserved for generations into something new. In 2001, he converted the old barn into guest accommodation. The former cornfields were turned into Glera vineyards, laying the foundations for the wine production that is now an important part of Villa Clementina.

My father always had an eye on the future as well. One day, he wanted to entrust what he had created to his daughters, passing the story of our family on to the next generation. For me, Villa Clementina therefore became not only the place of my childhood and my memories, but increasingly a part of my own life.

Together with my husband Luigi, we eventually decided to continue this story. We had both lived and worked abroad for many years. When our four children came along, we felt the desire to create a place where they could grow up close to nature, with freedom, space for adventure and the possibility of simply being children.

That place was meant to be Villa Clementina.

Today, we live and work here, trying to combine what we have inherited from our family with our own ideas and vision. Our family tradition goes back more than five generations. At the same time, we want to continue developing this place with new ideas, energy and a contemporary approach to hospitality.

For me, Villa Clementina is therefore much more than a family property and much more than a winery. When I walk through the house and among the vineyards, I encounter traces of my family everywhere: memories of my grandfather, the choices made by my father, and now also the story that Luigi and I are writing together with our children.

Perhaps this is the special magic of this place: it does not belong only to the past. Each generation changes it a little and leaves something of itself behind.

Today, we would like to share this story with our guests. We do not simply want to offer them a pleasant place to stay, but also to give them a sense of what Villa Clementina means to us: family, nature, wine, freedom and the deep connection between generations.
